Clark discussing his frustrations with Pa Kent and then Lois, reflecting on an incident early in his Superman career where he dealt with a wife beater. Clark relate how he later found out the wife's dead killed by her abusive husband, as he goes to a reported crime scene to cover it.



























While Lois convinces the wife to call a women's shelter. Superman follows up on the husband,find him wanting to commit suicide by jumping a bridge. Superman reaches out to him and convince the guy to get help.

It's such classic super-hero behavior. Spider-Man tells Daredevil "I can't let you go get killed, the Vulture is my problem," and knocks him out from behind. You've seen it dozens of times, and it's hard to find a hero who hasn't been beaten over the head (or blasted with a stun ray or given knockout gas) by a friend for his own good or because the friend has something he just has to do. It's only shocking because it's a woman getting the treatment.
