As the Trope goes: Some Anvils need to be Dropped.

Some anvils need to be dropped, but they need to be dropped wisely and dropped well. Flinging anvils about willy nilly only makes everyone mad and does nothing for the goal. No matter how worried I may be about global climate change, it does not make The Day After Tomorrow any less of a crap film.
