And thus ends a perfectly good series, with haunting images of mass carnage and hope for the future.

And if they'd left well enough alone, that would have been splendid. It's a shame that they not only tried to tell stories of what happened next in The Kingdom, but for the longest time, DC seemed actively trying to push towards this as their future, introducing concepts, characters, and appearances seen in here.

It's as bad as Marvel going back to the Age of Apocalypse reality after it was blown up/averted, just to kill everyone who wasn't already dead, sheesh.

I don't have an issue with the Kingdom followups; other Elseworlds have had sequels. Granted they were sort of a mixed bag.

It did annoy me that DC started moving their main universe in this direction while completely missing that KC is a cautionary tale.

I like the JSA Thy Kingdom Come epilogue, which showed what happened over the centuries. That was nice.

Agreed, to me that was the best ending for the characters. Especially for Superman.

Probably the most satisfying moment in this series for me was seeing Clark go from "unholy wrath, death from above, beware the superman" to standing before a crowd and making an inspiring, idealistic speech, without a single person crushed at his hand.

You should do the epilogue at Planet Krypton that was included with the collected editions next. That was a nice coda for the whole series.

Ah, the glasses! The symbol of Clark's humanity and his life among us.

I guess it's missing a lot but I feel like this was kind of a weird story. The ordinary folks seem to take the classic superheroes as more of an existential threat than the newer killier superheroes. That doesn't make sense to me
