It's a shame that they not only tried to tell stories of what happened next in The Kingdom, but for the longest time, DC seemed actively trying to push towards this as their future, introducing concepts, characters, and appearances seen in here.
It's as bad as Marvel going back to the Age of Apocalypse reality after it was blown up/averted, just to kill everyone who wasn't already dead, sheesh.
Probably the most satisfying moment in this series for me was seeing Clark go from "unholy wrath, death from above, beware the superman" to standing before a crowd and making an inspiring, idealistic speech, without a single person crushed at his hand.
I guess it's missing a lot but I feel like this was kind of a weird story. The ordinary folks seem to take the classic superheroes as more of an existential threat than the newer killier superheroes. That doesn't make sense to me
