This is the fluffiest canon fanfic I've ever read, and that includes all of the Cyclonus/Tailgate and Rewind/Chromedome scenes in More Than Meets The Eye.

A lot of times they are drawn to have the same body type.This reminds me of thay episode of the animated series where Clark had to dress up as Bats because Bruce was missing, and he ended up kicking the shit out of Bane. In fact, Bruce looks a bit taller in these panels.

Plus, y'know, I'm sure there's an explanation involving Kryptonian/Waynetech Super-Spandex.

I think they're supposed to be within an inch of each other's height, and of similar builds. I'd expect Clark wearing roomier clothes to de-emphasize his muscles would be more of a factor than their actual physical differences.

My big question about the page you're referencing is why is Clark smooth-chested? He's been depicted as a Henry Cavill-esque furball since 1986.

When did he start shaving his chest? WHY did he start shaving his chest?

He was nervous. I know that whenever I have a date night with the wife, I get a little self-conscious and start shaving things that don't need to be shaved. That's probably how Clark felt about his date with Bruce.

Looks like they're at some sort of superhero themes amusement park where patrons cosplaying is not uncommon. See the faux Teen Titans behind them at the end of the first scan. So people would likely find it notable, but not unusual for Bruce Wayne to be dressing up for a double date there.

I find it hil-a-rious that Clark is so committed to the "mild mannered reporter from smallville" role that he's wearing his glasses over the Batman costume :p
