Intriguing. So what's the backstory here? Is it like a magic cave for viewing alternate futures or something?

I think it’s supposed to represent the light side of the force calling out to him.

New canon has Sith make their red lightsabers by 'bleeding' lightsaber crystals instead of bonding with them like Jedi. Doing this to make his new lightsaber post ROTS caused Vader to receive a vision where he goes back to the light.

And Ahsoka's white lightsabers is what happens when you restore red crystals, as Ahsoka took her new ones from an Inquisitor. She suspected they were looted from the Jedi Temple.

So it's been established elsewhere that dark siders can't "find," crystals because the crystals are invisible to all except their chosen bearer, and dark siders need to steal them. So was that the case here, or was the crystal calling out to the Light in Anakin, or what?

Vader walks in with tattered pants and the Emperor asks to see his "blade".

His "blade" probably burned off on Mustafar along with his skin. Would explain why he's always so pissy though. :)

Historical sidenote: Vader referred to little Anakin as "the Force." Gives new meaning to his admonition that "the ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of..."

If Vader was planning on killing the Emperor, what did those two think they could do about it if they stayed?
