Wow! What a cliffhanger.
Who lives? Who dies? What happens next?

Hope no one cares, because we never find out. This is the last issue of the series, and we next see them in Ultimate Power, with this never resolved.

Yeah, I'm still annoyed.

How in the hell are you allowed to write a high-profile and presumably well-selling book, leave in the middle of a story like this and still get hired for work down the line? 🤷

If I remember correctly this was around the time of One More Day when JMS was forced to write that horrible, horrible story, which he was totally against. I think it soured him on Marvel and he quit. I could be wrong but that's what I remember.

Okay, I read he apparently was fired because he couldn't continue the series after the Ultiamte Pwoer mini fucked up his plans for it.

But like... It's one issue. Just one issue to solve this. Why wouldn't JMS stay long enough to finish it? It's one. Issue.

Well, since it's the last issue, I can finally definitively say this:

This entire comic is bad. Bad from the first issue to the last. Just one long load of shit.

And then, several years later, The Cabal Point 2 rolled through, murdered the everlasting crap out of everyone, and blew up the planet.

Oh, well.

I actually liked this series and I'm sad it had such an ending. There were some good ideas in it.

That final panel with Nighthawk goes from good to bad so fast. The punk after pause just destroys everything remotely cool about it.

Taking something that could have been great and making it terrible. It's the perfect final panel for this bloated, unfinished mess.
