I'd link to the supersized artworks fandom but I'd rather not have to scrub my browser clean again. There is a huge amount of artwork showing characters as very fat indeed for fetish reasons over on Deviantart and the other usual suspects. The Blob in the shower is lewd thoughts, and also tame thoughts too, for many people.

You'd think Blob would be a major fetish icon in that regard, but he's really not, since most of these artwork are interested in seeing thin characters become fat.

Although one popular subject is Rogue touching Blob and absorbing his powers and becoming fat (And, in a few cases, Blob gaining God like powers and making all the women of the universe fat like him).

I vaguely recall that Gambit used his memory of a fight where Blob received significant clothing damage, likely combined with additional thoughts like the above, to ensure that a telepath would not scan him. I guess after enough times scanning and seeing whatever mental image he had, whoever it was (I think Emma Frost) decided not to go through that mental minefield ever again.

It always made me mad in Excalibur when Claremont wrote scenes of Rachel Summers being offended by someone's private thoughts and giving them hell over it (often along with her teammates). Likewise telepaths maintaining that someone couldn't be trusted because they were hiding their thoughts. Newsflash: the person whose thoughts are being read without their permission isn't the one doing the violating.

I yearn for a scene where a morally ambiguous magician character like Daimon Hellstrom or Kaluu puts a snooping mind-reader into a padded cell by lowering their mental defenses and letting them see *everything*.

Because I believe in giving the people what they want (or in this case deserve) I rechecked the issue and y'know what, there's not one single Nightwing butt shot in the whole issue... I find this disturbing.
