People have been asking the right questions. They're like, "Who created the Gothams? How did they get their powers?" That's a great question. That's part of the Bane mystery. Bane got beat so easy. He got beaten by a headbutt. People were like, "That's such an easy way to get beaten! Why did Bane get beaten?" I was like, ah, that's a good question. That was on purpose. That's part of this Bane mystery. All of that plays in. -- Tom King

Date: 2018-09-04 09:51 pm (UTC)Tom King seems to be doing his own take on "the Scary Bat-God That Lives in Bruce Wayne's Head." That started in THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS but is also used in "regular" Batman comics.
BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHTS #20 and #24 are examples.
