How many origins have they retconned for the Venom symbiote at this point? I

Does it really matter there will be another one sooner or later.

Personally I think they should just go with the idea that none of the symbiotes can really remember and each group has their own ideas about how they came to be. The venom symbiote is so desperate to belong it just absorbs the ideas of which ever group it encountered last.

Knull is the one who forged the Necrosword of Gorr, isn't he? I would have thought he was well above Venoms weight class.

IIRC this is supposed to be just an avatar of him. His real body is supposedly still trapped by the Klyntar in this version of their origin.

Basically he's been retconned by this new venom series to be the creator of the symbiotes but still be the same obscure character from the Thor issue from a few years ago.

At least until they need another new origin for the symbiotes.

I like that. Knull can still be a god of symbiotes and not necessarily have actually created them.

Odin, Zeus, and gods in other pantheons have conflicting creation myths.
