The Surfer sees a planet he once spared from Galactus engulfed in flames, and discovers its inhabitants were intentionally causing the destruction by causing the volcanoes to erupt.



The Surfer finds the dragon.

.... no offensive to the dragon, but I am pretty sure the chain reaction to an explosion cause by a "just as well" power source falls more into his people than the natives... afterall, you don't just pick-up a random power source from an alien planet and stick in your faster than light space-engine without the proper safety tests and what not....

And these idiots' plan to be saved was to cause a big enough fire on the planet to get a space man to notice?

As they said, they were desperate; they would prefer dying in the eruptions to being eaten by the dragon.

... but couldn't they try to trick the dragon? Lure it? I mean, they were smart enough to set them up with a bomb power source.... which wiped most of them out. So why would they say nothing else could kill it?
