This April, the war that has exploded across the Ten Realms finally blasts into the last realm standing…ours.

Starting in April, the award-winning creative team of Jason Aaron, Russell Dauterman and Matthew Wilson will usher in an event of unparalleled scale! And like the mega-event Secret Wars, no corner of the Marvel Universe will be untouched!

Spanning six issues over three months War of The Realms will feature ALL of Marvel’s biggest heroes, including Iron Man, Thor, The Avengers, the Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel, Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, Black Panther, Venom, and many more!

If we have to have events, I much prefer having the ones that come out naturally as a result of other runs (like Secret Wars/Empire) over something that happens purely for the sake of having an event (like, say, AXIS or Civil War Two).

I did laugh how they are promoting this crossover having ALL of Marvel's biggest stars before skipping X-Men in totality and even the cover has Wolverine in it.

Marvel's bizarre relationship with that team continues.

Marvel really can't settle on a consistent look for Jen can they? She looks way bulkier than she has been anywhere else.

Interesting to see T'challa front and center like this.

And a certain movie may be influencing this. But I'm sure I'm just being silly.

The muscles on these characters look weird to me. She-Hulk is awful obviously but then I look at the other characters... I dunno, it feels like their limbs are made from modeling clay. Veins look really bad.

Also, is it just me, or is this Aaron Kuder-lite in its art style?

My prediction for this event:
6 issue core series
Essential tie-in issues with Thor, Asgardians of the Galaxy, and Avengers.
Less-essential tie-in issues with Daredevil, Spider-Man, Champions, and everyone else listed above.
Between 4 and a dozen one-shots, two-shots, or mini-series featuring characters without their own titles. Most likely we'll get a Warriors Three, something with Sif, something with Jane Foster, something involving dead characters (Avengers of Valhalla? Hel's Dirty Dozen?)

You know, the bare minimum for an event these days.

Don't forget the part where the main series suffers repeated delays, and probably gets extended by at least one or two issues.
