Maybe. but the movie is also supposed to be treated as a final story for a number of characters, particularly among the original six. To win the battle that no one else could. THEY are "Earth's Mightiest". The best Earth has to offer to win a battle of impossible odds.
One reason why I think they didn't include her is because she still has her own movie coming out. Whatever exposure Carol is going to get, it should be done to promote her movie that's coming out next. I mean, her movie is already in a pretty bad spot right now since Avengers: End Game will be released mere weeks after hers and everyone's excitement will most likely be focused on Avengers 4 and her Captain Marvel.
Seriously, the guys I follow on twitter say nothing about Captain Marvel but won't shut up about this new Avengers teaser. It's disappointing and sad.
Every now and then these movies and TV shows will manage an homage to something will just gobsmack me. I never thought we were going to get the Thanos-Armor Scarecrow on the big screen. Such an iconic image from the comics, and they found a way to make it fit.
unless they get Jim Halpert John Krasinski, man, c'mon and Emily blunt to Play reed and sue. then I will be excited again.
I'm down for it! But I also don't know how annoying it would be for the Krasinski-Blunt household to constantly be playing husband-wife couples on screen (and I don't want anything bad to happen to their marriage because I'm an incurable sap).
Man, this was a great trailer. I'd forgotten just *how many* heroes bought it in Infinity War. Tight focus on the six surviving/founding Avengers (and Nebula?).
If you had told me five years ago that a dour Avengers trailer wallowing in their defeat would be uplifted by the appearance of Ant-Man at the front door of Avengers Compound, I would not have believed you.
This trailer definitely subverted my expectations in two ways: I didn't expect Tony to be stranded. If Nebula's still with him, I don't know why the Guardian's ship would be almost out of food, fuel and water. That's never been concerns in their outings, so its surprising to see it one now. And I didn't expect Scott to *save himself* from the Quantum Realm. That's a seriously beastly feat for Mr. Lang. Out of the four people in 'Team Ant-Man', he's widely regarded as the most incompetent, but this is a major feather in his cap.
Next year is going to be tight, with Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, & Spider-Man 2 all within four months of each other.
In fairness, Thanos did drop a moon on Titan. If the Guardian's ship was in that hemisphere, which it almost certainly was, it could have been severely damaged.
That was my guess, the Benatar was on Titan and then Thanos chucked a MOON at the place and damaged the ship, so while they could have gotten it off the surface its possible it broke down mid-trip or any place that they did make it to for food/fuel were devastated ghost towns post snap.
So eventually, they got stranded...its not clear if Nebula is with Tony still or she got part of the OShip on Titan running and they parted ways.
Of course all this does is just set up the big question, the one that cannot be answered until this hits theaters: Will literally any of the shots here in the trailer be in the movie?
You're not fooling me trailer producing guys, I have been burned by that trick far too many times before.
Not going to lie or even apologize, my first (and ongoing) reaction was a high-pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeeee" noise.
That said, there's not a lot here that couldn't be inferred from Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Everyone's flipping their lids about Shuri being one of the holograms, but I think it's shorthand for "Shuri has Wakanda-protecting adventures that we'll find out about (possibly in the next BP movie)". I also can't decide whether Hawkeye-as-Ronin is cool or a little bit silly.
Any bets on what's going to happen to our OG team?
Iron Man: Retired and married with kids. Captain America: If there is some kind of time-travel in the film, he goes back and lives happily ever after with Peggy Carter in the past. Otherwise, I think he's a goner. Thor: Journeys off into space to rebuild Asgard, leaving the door open for cameos in new cosmic movies or even a Ragnarok 2. Hulk: Survives and remains active. Hulk is the easiest Avenger to recast, so I think he'll stick around for a while. Black Widow: I really have no clue. There's a Black Widow movie rumored, but I don't know if that's going to be a prequel or what. Hawkeye: Dies, but his family lives.

"Endgame" is generic as all hell.

That's where the final battle's going to be - on his farm.
