I read the first line of dialogue with Nick multiple times as it just doesn't make any sense at all.

Also I absolutely love that in this world you are either a weak-willed dude who is incapable of making any decisions and someone who makes all the decisions. There are no balanced relationships at all.

Frankly I'm just relived the women demanding wage equality weren't portrayed as cardboard villains. Though the moral message of the story seems more than a little muddled. I'm not sure how caring about your partner's feelings equates to not being able to make a decision.

The problem with [not-Nick?] is that he has no wants of his own, or he does, he's incapable of articulating them or asserting them--which is unhealthy on either side of the relationship, whether it's a guy or a gal. Ideally both people should say--and get--what they want in a relationship (with a little give and take on the small stuff, while staying on the same page on the big stuff).
