Date: 2019-02-07 06:21 am (UTC)To be honest I didn't like Soule's time at all and quit because 1) I was digging what Waid laid down and wished we could have seen a continuation of that and 2) they gave Matt his secret identity back and I felt there was still a lot more mileage to be had from that plot element.

It wasn't silly and naive, just more light-hearted and willing to be an actual superhero comic, instead of a street-level crime comic. Bendis would never have a blinded Daredevil trying to escape Latveria and Doctor Doom's evil accountant, for example.
