This issue seemed much quippier than an of Aaron's other Thor stuff.

I'm going to wait around till Laufrey lays out a giant, slushy, frozen blue dump tinged purple with Loki blood. He'd better chew, not just swallow...nobody likes a talking poo, unless you're a kid from South Park.

Thor: "You saw what he wanted you to see. Trust me, he'll pop in during the final battle alive and well and gloating on putting one over on you all."
Cap: "Thor, you're in denial."
Thor: "Nope, I just know him."

And then at the end Loki comes back EXACTLY as Thor said, and Cap just has to shake his head and promise he'll never fall for the trick again. Until next big event.

I don't care. Loki's been one of the most beloved characters for me for years, and I can't find a single glimpse of emotion seeing this. Aaron has done nothing to give the character justice throughout all his boring comics.

I'm so with you. Aaron managed to get 2 emotional reaction from me with this: 1) That Freyja's should be punched HARD. 2) Boredom... as Aaron's run outlived it's interestingness for YEARS by now.

I'm a sucker for any New York based superhero fight where the Avengers team up with the regular suit and file New York street types (granted, most of them have made rotational shifts through the Avengers at this point).

You know... Back in (I think) 2015 there was that issue where Jane!Thor fought Odin and she *gasp* managed to give him a bloody nose? And the usual suspects flew off the handle in rage? I've yet to come across any comparable reaction to what this issue did to Odin and it's much much worse. For some strange reason...
