The strangest thing is that they didn't put him on the cover. Why even have the villain of a newly-released movie guest in an issue of a related comicboom if you're not going to plonk him ion the cover to sell a few more copies?
1) Movie villains usually die too so it IS a weird kind of synergy.
2) There are, like, six other Mysterio-types who could stand in for Quintin in any random story. Heck, usually him and Daniel Berkhart are interchangeable anyway.
We only have Centipete's word to take for Mysterio's death in what appears to be a dream. In a story where the very nature of Mysterio's earlier death and resurrection was called into question.
So no, I'm not holding my breath for Quentin's demise to stick.
I have to say I like this take on Beck's resurrection a lot more than Slott's "I faked my death because I am a Master of Illusion".
Sure, never mind that Beck would absolutely want Spider-Man in the audience for THAT performance.
(And I know that Mysterio's homage to Kraven the Hunter was attended by Daredevil because Beck figured out Ben wasn't "his" Spider-Man but it's just weird that he'd use DD as a witness if the whole thing was faked.)
I'm not sure what's funnier, that the jail allows Mysterio to strut around in his full costume or the speed as which the psychiatrist got the Hell out of there.
"The villain feels justified in his actions due to the hero slighting him" is common enough. But when the slight is a big mystery, it doesn't always work out too well.
We never learned the identity of the First Victim in DETECTIVE COMICS.
Kearson DeWitt was an Iron Man villain who hated Tony Stark, but exactly why was a mystery. In an Iron Man annual, he said his father was a brilliant engineer but his designs were never realized. And that Tony somehow stole those designs to build tje first Iron Man armor.
-"It'll just be me and you. Like it should've been all along."-
... this isn't gonna turn out to be Gwen Stacy, is it?
-"I hope you felt responsible."- Foolish mystery villain! If you really knew that much about Peter, you'd know he feels responsible for every cat stuck up a tree!

That said, Centipede guy looks pretty cool
