Plausible deniability. "We told her not to go into this area we told her had problems she could help with if she went there."

"Pretty Little Super Hero World." I don't think he thinks that highly of someone that's saved existence a few thousand times over.

If you save reality itself from being destroyed, does anyone even notice?
Nope. Of course not.
I mean, just this week, Doctor Strange stopped three demon invasions, the Fantastic Four prevented an incursion from the Negative Zone, the X-Men prevented an apocalyptic future, and the Avengers prevented Kang from conquering this timeline.

It's only when you don't do your job properly that people notice and complain. :)

Well, I was thinking that Sue Storms contact in the CIA would be someone that understands the scale of the shit she deals with. However, he's pretty much what I'd expect of someone from the CIA.

He's read too many 90s antihero comics.

Yeah, I mean this is definitely a read between the lines moment.

CIA Man: Now its very important you don't go there, which is why I brought you in and told you about it. In fact, let me show you this detailed map of the general area just so you know to not go there by mistake.

I honestly didn't pick that up here until people mentioned it. The whole "don't do it ... also here's a detailed plan on how to do it" thing is best conveyed with audible* and physical** indicators.

*And you can't hear someone's tone in a comic.

**The "acting" in that scene is terrible. Those are some really stiff facial expressions.

I think the 'closing the shades for no particular reason' is meant to be a visual metaphor in that regard. The visual acting of the characters is meant to be above-board plausible deniability, IMHO. It's entirely possible this entire conversation is being monitored by the CIA, by SHIELD, by the NSA and who-knows-else. Which isn't to say I like the flow of this scene that much, but mostly because the characters feel very static in it.

I just wish this could have been drawn by someone who was better at facial expressions. I can tell what a character in an Amanda Conner or Kevin Maguire comic is thinking without even reading the text.

So Sue is gonna be a supervillain now? Because CIA=Supervillain in any world.

Subtle. “Whatever you do, DON’T look at these top secret documents I’ve left out on my desk while I just happen to coincidentally turn my back. And DEFINITELY don’t walk out with any of them. Clear?”

Okay I love the lighting. The art seems bland, and why does Sue have thick black eyebrows, I wonder (she dyes her hair to taunt Namor or what?).
The story seems... well, I think I'll check the next issue but overall this is really lazy exposition and introduction.
