I very much enjoyed seeing Peter own Tony here....while it lasted.

The focus is on Peter, Steve, and Tony but I'm under the impression all the new characters from the early 90s didn't age THAT much (about 15 years?) and characters like the Young Avengers are probably about the same age they are now.

Though half the New Warriors probably would have been too old for entertainment executives to want to put them on TV so I'm not sure what kicked this off in the first place*

*Is this just a continuation of the Steve/Tony conflict from the first issue?

No, I'm thinking more of how Civil War was presented as 'the government is doing something about all these superheroes' when the legal situation regarding vigilantes was a long established thing in universe.

Ah, I took it to mean you were commenting on CW being an overreaction to the inexperienced young punks in the New Warriors getting in over their heads .... even though Microbe is probably the only one younger than 30 in this timeline.

Weren't that version of the new Warriors mostly new members? Though it does seem like this Civil War had a different catalyst.

Man, Tony does not come off well in this series at all (granted, Civil War was a such a nadir for Tony they eventually had to reset him to a pre-CW savestate to get past it).
