It's how I found She Could Fly. It's how I found Euthanauts and Self Made. And this week, it's how I found Strange Skies over East Berlin.. It makes me think a bit of Lake of Fire as it takes one genre/period and mashes it up with something that doesn't belong there.
I've not watched a lot of Cold War films (some Harry Palmer and the thrillingly violent Atomic Blonde being the limits), so I'm not numb to the conventions. And over a week exploring the city I've barely scratched the surface of what Berlin has to offer, so this was always going to be a nice way to get some culture/history in me.
Its by the author of Judas, which was well received here, if I remember correctly
Our PoV character is an American operative in the East.
It starts in 1973 with a common escape over to the West going a bit pearshaped, when suddenly...

I like the look of this. my only concern is that we won't get to see a lot of East Berlin as the series progresses.
