The spy who came in from the cold (darkness of space)

Every Wednesday, Comixology delivers my subscriptions straight to my account, saving me the hassle of finding them and buying them in the massive pile of new releases. And still, every week I trawl through the entire new catalogue to see if there is something cool that I've missed.

It's how I found She Could Fly. It's how I found Euthanauts and Self Made. And this week, it's how I found Strange Skies over East Berlin.. It makes me think a bit of Lake of Fire as it takes one genre/period and mashes it up with something that doesn't belong there.

I've not watched a lot of Cold War films (some Harry Palmer and the thrillingly violent Atomic Blonde being the limits), so I'm not numb to the conventions. And over a week exploring the city I've barely scratched the surface of what Berlin has to offer, so this was always going to be a nice way to get some culture/history in me.

Its by the author of Judas, which was well received here, if I remember correctly

Our PoV character is an American operative in the East.
It starts in 1973 with a common escape over to the West going a bit pearshaped, when suddenly...

I like the look of this. my only concern is that we won't get to see a lot of East Berlin as the series progresses.
