Aside from the horrible cruelty against an innocent family man, this is just so unnecessary. What's the point of making it look like suicide rather than murder? Yes, yes, "you can never entirely wash blood away." But if the investigators are so dumb and/or corrupted that they can't or won't see through the very transparent "random civilian with no history of depression just so happens coincidentally to kill himself at somebody else's place right when the owner mysteriously disappears after insulting the Kingpin in front of several witnesses," then they would have just botched the search of bloodstains.

It's not about the cops. It's about covering up Fisk's murder of Ty from Ty's family, and do it as quickly as possible, because they have more pull and connections than Fisk.
Not discussing wether this is not needlessly cruel and overly-complicated. Just that it is not the typical "We need to fool the cops!"

But it's the same thing. You need to fool people who are dumb enough to miss the very, very, very obvious signs. It's not just overly complicated, it's just not needed at all.

Do we know he had no history of depression? Something like that could be why they got him specifically.

Despite the fact that he’s a murderer, crime lord, super villain, etc... I feel oddly bad for Fisk. He wanted a new start and now finds himself helpless.

I have to keep reminding myself of all the crap he’s done.
