Justice America tells Master Mage to teleport them off the island but something goes wrong with his staff and demons from Hell come to drag him away (supplementary material at the end of the issue reveals that he dabbled in dark magic).
So had thought it was Oxymoron faking his death, now wondering if it's the Lex Luthor knockoff from the opening issue on the idea that he'd put this team together only to find out what kind of personal messes they were, knew a matter of time before they self-destructed so bumping them all off like this was an excuse to cut his losses and form a more "manageable" bunch of heroes.
Still a good concept with flawed execution so far.
I'm going to put my money on Red's faithful butler who raised her from childhood, utilizing protocols Red designed to take down her teammates, believing that her teammates failed to protect her when she needed it and deserve to die for it.
