The weird thing is that Thanos actually did celebrate Christmas with Gamora as a kid.

Although I must say I am loving the Black order as kids. Especially Ebony Maw as an emo teenager.

I've never really cared for the Black Order because I prefer Thanos as a solo act but I love how the movies just made Ebony Maw into his hype man.

Well it makes sense to have them around since in a movie you kind of need the villain to have henchmen for the good guys to fight (Also in the Ultimate Alliance 3 the Black Order, which features them as the main enemies, I need to finish that at some point, did they ever fix the scaling issues with it?)

Yeah but Marvel has so many great villains that they could have used and they went with those guys? Given the timing of Hickman's run, I wouldn't be surprised if they were created to be potential movie henchmen.

Not sure about the game. I've been holding off on it until the DLC goes on sale.

(Oh, who am I kidding? I still haven't played the PS4 Spider-Man game and that's supposed to be great)

To be fair, it wasn't a role that required great villains. The Children of Thanos existed to give the Avengers some victories before the downer ending. That's not a task that requires personality or backstory - just a gimmick and a decent character design.

They're a team of Oddjobs, in other words.

Yeah but when your previous mooks include Loki and Ronan, would it be that crazy to include Annihilus, Terrax, the Space Phantom, the Magus, ect as a teaser of things to come?

A lot of those guys are notorious for resurrections and death means nothing by Endgame (unless the Scarlett Witch loves you) so the heroes can still get their wins in IW.

Maybe but if you’re just some mook that’s taken down by the Avengers with little difficulty then you don’t have much intimidating factor by yourself for a future film.

Aside from Annihilus, I'm not sure any of those guys can carry a movie anyway but I could see a minor side plot where Terrax goes to a certain Giant Purple Planet Eater for a power up after Thor stomps his face in. Or tie the Space Phantom (who really could have taken advantage of the post-CW mistrust) into Kang. Or use Magus to continue to tease an Adam Warlock story that will never happen. Whatever.
