In theory, the Vampire Nation is an interesting as an evil* counterpart to Krakoa. In practice, Battle Armor Dracula and his mooks are dull as dishwater. Yes, that one Claremont story where Kitty becomes a vampire is great, but it was a one off. Vampires are too off-theme for the X-Men.

*Or eviler, depending on your viewpoint.

The vampire nation thing kind of irks me because it comes off like they think Chernobyl is in Russia.

Anyway, Vampires just don't seem like reasonable threats aginst the kind of power Krakoa has gathered. Theres a number of Krakoans that could wipe out the Vampire nation by themselves.

I've always figured Dracula & vampires were set up against the X-Folks as a play on "power of the blood" thing.

That, and Dracula really wanted Storm to be one of his brides.

You know, if you have access to a helmet that blocks psychic meddling with your brain, and you're dealing with a psychic meddler, I'm not sure why that's not your first option.

(Or for that matter, why Wolverine needs to get Magneto drunk and 'borrow' the helmet without asking. Is it non-replicable for some reason? I suppose if it blocks psychic interference it might also prevent the Cerebro back-ups of personality (although that raises questions about Magneto's potential resurrection), but it seems like this might be the kind of case where that risk was justified).

Getting Magneto drunk is more fun than NOT getting him drunk and thus the best option.

Tom Taylor had all the X-Men and Avengers wear Magneto helmets in X-Men Red pretty recently, so they should have plenty lying around...

Perhaps Xavier confiscated the helmets on the grounds that they interfere with the brainscan resurrection system*?

I think Magneto's helmet has limits though. I seem to recall Xavier zapping him through it in a story from the 80s, though maybe it's better at blocking finesse applications of telepathy than someone just whapping him with psi-bolts.

I've been told, though I haven't dug much into it myself, that Magneto's helmet as psi-blocker is a relatively recent development- *possibly* originating in the movies.

Adamantine exists in the Marvel Universe, and is distinct from adamantium.

Astonishing X-Men even had a version of Wolverine with adamantine bones and claws. He got it from his boyfriend, Hercules.
