I always thought the mini a good idea but rushed because of one issue each decade rather than a mini for each one like Zdarsky planned.
Still, interesting with the realistic take that of course, a newspaper publisher finances a super-villain, there's going to be consequences rather than a "slap on the wrist" like in the comics when it came out.
But interesting seeing this dynamic with the regular books having Jonah know Peter's secret.
I too would have liked a longer series. If they ever relaunch the Ultimate Universe for real, I'd like them to do it this way: First year: 12 issues of 60s Avengers, 60s FF, 60s X-Men... Second year: 12 issues of 70s Avengers, 70s Defenders and so on...
I'd say I'm surprised that in the main continuity Jonah didn't go to jail for the stuff he did like the Scorpion, the Spider Slayers and the Human Fly but he's a wealthy white man living in America so I'm not all that surprised
Intriguing. But "Mac Gargan hates J. Jonah Jameson" is a little confusing, in retrospect. Doesn't Mac *like* the power of being the Scorpion? He's super-strong even without the suit and the various tails. Maybe it's "I wouldn't be constantly beaten up by Spider-Man and going to prison if Jameson and Farley Stillwell hadn't changed me."
(Wikipedia continuity time! Farley Stillwell's technology was used to create the Human Fly, the Answer and one of the Jimmy Natale Vultures.)
Oh yeah, Scorpion has been pissed at Jonah for a long time. He even kidnapped Marla on the eve of her and Jonah's wedding as part of a revenge thing. His reasons were part "trapped in the suit" (sometimes) and "driven mad by the process" (which of course Jonah financed.
Considering how New 52 brought Vic Sage back as a disfigured, magically-cursed amnesiac *and* an evil government agent who tries to murder the Suicide Squad, I don't blame you.
I'm more likely to think of Vic when someone mentions the question. Vic Sage has never had a good story where he's not the Question. Renee Montoya has had a lot of excellent stories and the first season of Gotham without needing a codename.
Though the faceless three-piece suit is a great look on her.
EDIT: So yeah, I meant the Answer should date Vic.
It might please you to know that Rebirth retconned all of that crap from the New 52 and the Vic Sage running around right now is identical to the way his character was written before the New 52 came along
