That's a nice use of Trauma.
Out of all Slott's early creations, he seems to be the only one getting some respect.

And a nice way to recap Franklin's messed up history.

Agreed, that's a good use of Trauma.

I'm hoping that, as it's family therary, that at some point it addresses that whilst Reed and Sue DO love Franklin, their acutal parenting has been... dubious at times.

It would be nice if this stuck but, unfortunately, there's rarely a seismic shift. Much like Bruce Wayne is stuck in the eternal cycle of "grim loner who learns to work with others by the end of a writer's run, only to be reset when a new writer comes along", Reed is stuck with "Shitty parent who learns to be a good father only to be reset back to shitty parent when the next writer comes along".

The fact that Franklin isn't the little boy with the cute lisp any more is amazing in and of itself.

And I'm not convinced it'll stick.

Since when did Trauma have "spooky speech"? Has he been hanging out with his dad?

Franklin needs to relax. It's in the bag. The Franklin that hangs out with Galactus at the end of the universe is still going to happen.

He's had spooky speech since the first issue of The Initiative, but only when in fear form.

Maybe he's got a sore throat.

Or maybe Franklin’s real worst fear is therapy.

Given how often therapists in the Marvel universe tend to be terrible, evil, or working for someone who is evil (or terrible), that fear doesn't seem entirely unwarranted, even if Trauma is none of those things.

The best and possibly worst part is that Moonstone is probably one of the most competent therapists we've seen in the Marvel universe

She just happens to also be evil

But nobody's perfect
