Is this new? Looks like it could be newish. I swear, the titles merge in my head. "Absolute Carnage", "Carnage Forever", "Extreme Carnage"... No idea which is which. Carnage saying he lost his friend...which I guess would be Cletus. The little girl calls it Cletus, but that could just be because Carnage and Cletus were pretty much one and the same. Either way, Elsie and Carnage are getting along awfully well. Not just on a rampage, but actually getting revenge on Elsie's tormentors.

It came out last month. Technically it's not canon as the current Carnage series has the symbiote doing something else.

Seems to be the case. It's issue one, after all. It should be bonded to her in the next issue as well. I'd like if this series was about Carnage trying to make friends, with the hosts genuinely thankful...and made deranged by its influence.

I don’t mind Carnage not having much depth. He’s a force of nature, he’s like the Freddy Krueger or Michael Myers of the superhero world, he exists to kill and he has a good time doing it.

Exactly. Honestly, I preferred the inverted Carnage. Him trying to be a superhero while lacking any real concept of right and wrong was a huge breath of fresh air.

Sounds to me like he was even worse as a hero than he was as a villain

I don't remember that part. I remember he wanted it made entirely out of rhinestones and for it to play Freebird on loop 24 hours a day.

Sad thing is, Peter would do it, cape and all. I mean, it was a dying wish from the worst person he ever knew doing the noblest thing he ever saw (to paraphrase Spidey himself) and he DID promise Carnage before he fled. Damn sense of responsibility...
