Gotta admit, there's something really creepy about Kurt basically stalking a guy with intent to kill, only to delivering condescending forgiveness even as he mocks the guy for being a clone of a clone.
I'm not saying Greycrow was a good man, or that he didn't deserve some payback, or that he and Kurt don't have history (or more specifically, the Marauders and the X-Men) but taking this story at face value, it becomes the tale of a vengeance-driven stalker going after a man who's clearly terrified and trying to stay out of the public eye. And in the guise of a priest, no less.
It's interesting that the writers have continued to try and rehabilitate the character in the Krakoan era. Is a murderer still a murderer when all of their victims are brought back to life? Is a clone responsible for the actions of their previous self?
"Is a murderer still a murderer when all of their victims are brought back to life? Is a clone responsible for the actions of their previous self?"
If a clone is inclined to repeat the actions of its base template, it may well Kill Again, which would be the reason to distrust them, No judgement for past actions, but wariness over the course their future could potentially take.
All fascinating questions. Especially when we get into the question of how much Sinister programmed them to be genocidal killers. Except for Sabretooth, anyway.
On the other hand, the Marauders (and I still hate the name being used like it can be rehabilitated - some things just can't be) murdered hundreds if not thousands of mutants, including children.
Colossus ended up paralyzed and then trapped in his steel form. Shadowcat was locked in phase. Nightcrawler was beaten into a coma. Angel was tortured so badly his wings had to be amputated.
Side note, whenever some mutant asks "what have the Avengers ever done for me?" I think someone should point out Thor going down into those sewers and doing his best to save people at a time when he was cursed by Hela with brittle bones incapable of healing from injury. And that's just one example.

The subtext of that question always ends with 'lately'.
“All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?”
I understand the corporate logic of reviving the name Marauders. In-universe, no mutants should be saying "Hooray, the Marauders are here!" It's like if Kitty decided to play up her new red theme by calling her team the Khmer Rouge.
It was the nearest they could get to a pirate name, since there aren't any synonyms they could have thrown an 'x' into, and Corsair would probably object to them taking his name.
They're barely even pirate-themed anymore. The Orlando version seems to be more about time travel than anything. Although I guess TimeX would run into copyright issues.
I ahve now dropped Marauders from my pull list. Used to be the series where the X-Men went around and saved mutants, now it's the one giving succour to an omnicidal maniac.
Helping them was a fine and noble thing, but that would also be the Thor who unleashed billions of volts in a lightning storm to basically autoclave the Morlock tunnels and incinerate the bodies without actually checking to make sure there were any still alive, or if anyone else was down there too.
Because IIRC the X-Men and X-Factor were IN those tunnels and had to move like the devil himsef was chasing them to escape being completely annihilated.
