No matter what else, I think that everyone can agree that Death's Head 3.0 has a super-boring character model, managing to both be nothing like either of its predecessors and also having nothing unique of its own to show off, remaining a big grey robot with glowing eyes.

Also, the first piece of evidence in my theory that this was originally intended to be a six part story. A whole extra, finished cover by Lucio Parrillo, just thrown in this issue for no reason. Well, maybe to make up for the fact that the main story of this issue is only 21 pages.

Date: 2023-01-22 08:13 pm (UTC)As a minion, the 3.0 design is a pretty standard evil robot, with its glowing red eyes and gas-mask design. Generic, sure. But if it's supposed to be a mass-produced unit, then that should work in its favour, right?
Just not so much as an individual.
Hmm...
The fake uni-power was a project of Monica Rappaccini, who once dated Bruce Banner (who may or may not be Carnilla's dad).
And Bruce Banner as the Hulk got his hands on a bunch of 3.0s when he was on Sakaar.
It all ties together! ... err, somehow.
(oh, yeah. This was the same time as Marvel's extremely perfunctory anniversary 'celebration' for the New Universe.
A real "well, we should probably do something" moment for them.)
