Death's Head 3.0: Big, Grey Villain

No matter what else, I think that everyone can agree that Death's Head 3.0 has a super-boring character model, managing to both be nothing like either of its predecessors and also having nothing unique of its own to show off, remaining a big grey robot with glowing eyes.










Also, the first piece of evidence in my theory that this was originally intended to be a six part story. A whole extra, finished cover by Lucio Parrillo, just thrown in this issue for no reason. Well, maybe to make up for the fact that the main story of this issue is only 21 pages.

Point on the faceless army mook thing. 3.0 does add extra accessories by the final page of the story to differentiate them, it just would have been nice to have him, I dunno, painted beekeeper-yellow while under AIM control or something.

As for the New Universe story in this issue, its first dialogue box is "You ARE insane, Mark. You're AWARE of this, yes?" Add that to the plot being about a freelance peacekeeping agent shooting up a banana republic's generalissimo's guards just to deliver divorce papers, and it's more of Death's Head story than the main feature!

The New Universe story was likely just a story to maintain the copyright or trademark on "Mark Hazzard: Merc", even if the character died.
