"The Suicide Forest is a ghost story, of broken hearts and loneliness. Alan is alone. Masami is alone and dead. And Ryoko, behind her facade of carelessness, is alone. And there is nothing more lonely than a ghost. Perhaps ghosts are no more than a metaphor of that solitude, of that abandonment and isolation that leads to anger, to frustration, to pain." -- El Torres

"Everyone has had that dream of something at the foot of the bed, staring at you. I had a lot of these. Of course, they're just dreams, but sooner or later you begin to wonder if your brain is trying to say something, or if there is really something there that you can't perceive... or you don't want to." -- El Torres

I picked this off the rack at a whim last night, mostly out of curiosity about what the title could possibly mean. Suicide Forest is a four-issue horror comic from IDW, by El Torres and Gabriel Hernandez, about the Aokigahara Forest in Japan.
