They are!...at least I think they are. I don’t know if it’s available in Italy, but Viz Media republished the TPBs collecting this run back in 2016, and as far as I’m aware it’s still in print.
Yeah, I owned a copy of the complete collection of this comic years ago (It even included a back up story covering Super Mario Land 2 and Mario's feud with Wario).
I love how even back then writers were railing against the idea of Peach being a passive captive and having her try and escape on her own.
There's one for Zelda: A Link to the Past, too. Fine comic, but kinda lousy as an adaptation. Better as it's own thing; go with the manga (also published by Viz) if you want something more faithful.
What disappoints me is that Nintendo/Nintendo Power did their own trades of these back in the '90s, but aside from the covers, these are almost exactly the same. In Zelda's case, that's fine, but for Mario, that means the SECOND Mario & Wario comic (in which the two try to one-up each other by getting the Princess a Samus plush she wanted for her birthday) has still yet to be reprinted or collected.
Further disappointing is that neither Nintendo nor Viz ever collected the Star Fox or Super Metroid comics that ran in the respective subsequent years. It's probably my favorite version of Star Fox, to boot, so that sucks extra hard.
I actually had the Zelda trade too. I had part of the Starfox comic series (I subscribed to Nintendo power around the time it was running, near the end of that one). I mainly remember during the final battle when Fox found out that Andross was behind his dad getting lost in space Fox went absolutely feral with white eyes and snarling teeth and it was really scary.
I also had the entire run of the Metroid comic. (Which featured a second space mercenary in blue armor identical to Samus named Armstrong Houston, kind of a proto Adam Malkovitch. I guess they wanted a male character in there and also someone they could exposit to and explain Samus' origins to).
According to the Super Mario wiki. Friendly Floyd appears a few more times.
In a later part, Floyd appears in Princess Toadstool's dream, in which he is the priest marrying the princess to Mario.
Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Toad run into Friendly Floyd again while he is trying to sell lipstick to a Piranha Plant. He tries to sell his new makeup line to the group, which instead gives Luigi the idea to impersonate Princess Toadstool and give himself up to Bowser to save Mario. He also supplies bombs to the group, and tries to sell medical supplies to the Koopalings as Yoshi defeats them. After the tower is blown up and everyone lands in the forest, Friendly Floyd parts with the group again.
He is last seen at Bowser's wedding, selling automatic cameras to guests.
