Very weird decision to dispose of the Waiting Room so casually, and for no real reason - are we meant to think the Gala and Fall of X casualties are permanent, then?

I mean, the reason is that this era is coming to an end. But also resurrection existed prior to the Waiting Room, so no, death still isn't permanent. In fact, next week there's a book coming out called Dead X-Men where we know the five X-Men who died at the Gala are coming back to life.

It also didn't really get "rid" of the Waiting Room. A lot of this is metaphorical, after all. And nobody's FORCED to stay in the Waiting Room, they can pass on to somewhere else if they want to.
