The Coalition for an Upstanding America were using Cap's image in a campaign without his consent. Cap got involved when he tried to get them to pack it in and he discovered that the Scarecrow was murdering them with his trained crows.

There's something even more funny about someone using an insanely realistic Mission Impossible face mask in a world where Image Inducers exist.

Always weird to me that this guy's gimmick was being flexible and not Wizard of Oz crimes but I think I remember him using trained crows at one point so that's something.

I think it’s safe to say that Marvel’s Scarecrow never hit the mainstream like DC’ version. I can’t even remember the last time we saw this goober.

I vaguely remember Marvel & DC's Scarecrows working together in a panel during Marvel vs DC (or was it Amalgam: All Access?)

It was Marvel vs DC. They tried to kidnap Lois Lane, but Ben Reily (sans dyed hair for some reason) saved her out of costume.

He popped up in the recent Danny Ketch miniseries, as one of a bunch of villains getting powered-up by a demonic morlock. He runs someone through with a pitchfork.

Interesting how the characters are name-dropping actual TV shows. You don't see stuff like that much in modern comics.

I guess there's the argument that the media landscape is pretty divided now and a lot of "hit" streaming shows don't have the viewers that network and cable TV used to have ... and Marvel's target audience doesn't watch network or cable TV anymore.

I assume the Disney lawyers are pretty involved now too. I doubt The Mouse wants them talking about someone else's IP.

Or they they just don't want people dunking on them like they did when Civil War Frontline came out.

I think Scarecrow was more interesting when he fought Ghost Rider after getting actual powers ( he would regenerate injury in the presence of fear).

THere was an annual ('93? '94?) where he'd kidnapped a bunch of people and built a maze in the sewer using his victims as walls so that he would regenerate from anything GR did to him... so GHost Rider just broke every bone in his body and held onto him until he healed all wrong.
