This issue makes the Byrne/Mackie Spider-Man era (and hasty brainwashing retcon) so much worse.

Sandman’s “friends” in the hero community (the Thing, Spider-Man, Silver Sable, ect) were all “I can’t believe he deceived us like this”

Meanwhile Hawkeye – a character he’d barely interacted with despite technically both being Avengers – came in and immediately recognized that something is off and he needs help.

I do like the idea that everyone just assumes the dumb muscle was secretly some sort of devious mastermind all this time. What if Sandman was Sid the Squid from Batman the Animated Series?

Moonstone's actual redemption arc started when she was sleeping with Hawkeye and the backsliding started when he stopped sliding her on her back.

Also, after Natasha was with Clint, she not only defected to the west, but she went on to be one of the few people that can survive sex with Daredevil.

I still wonder if they were meant as deep cuts, or if those were the only characters Fabian could find that suited the concept
