Whatever else happens in this series, I love it just for that. That meek little response from Bruce Wayne.

I do enjoy it whenever Alfred gives Bruce a necessary dressing-down.

Case in point: the only segment of All-Star Batman and Robin I unironically liked was when the Goddamn Batman pins Alfred against the wall when he learns he's been sneaking Dick proper food so he won't have to subsist on Batcave rats. Whereupon Alfred says: "Sir, I am your butler. I am your aide.I am your medic. I am not, however, your slave. Unhand me."
