I'm pretty much disqualifying him for that myself. It's such an obvious red herring.

I just can't think of who else that could mean...out of the four suspects anyway. Which brings up the question...could it be all of them? Why bother with one host when it could pick any at random?

I'm guessing it's none of them. And that the AIM guy didn't actually see the host at the courtroom, rather than when he was in jail.

Oh my god, I am SUCH a git. You're right, it's a total red herring...meant to make us think the symboite is talking to the host instead of the other way around. That's who would have picked up some science hanging out with someone. The symboite picked up some science from Peter Parker! Specifically chemistry! Well, more specifically, bio-chemistry, but also more broad chemistry.
