Yep. Only one episode in the original series, but she made a huge impact. She showed up...maybe twice more in the second series where they changed the art style of everyone. Once where she fell off the wagon of sanity and fell in love with Killer Croc and the other...that may or may not have happened...was in the episode where Scarecrow killed Batgirl. Just a cameo...I think.
It could be argued that her looking more like a Tiny Toon/Animaniacs style character fits into her overall character, an individual who through her medical condition, is perpetually stuck looking like a young child. For her, all anyone can see is Baby Doll, star of a somewhat popular sitcom. No one can see Mary Dahl the woman. Her job opportunities are limited, relationships ..well, thats a thorny issue to be sure.
I kinda liked her design in TNBA. Fit more with the art style, and the pink dress and black eyelids looked better.
But seriously, I get kinda annoyed by people who are saying what a deep character she is. I heard once someone doing a good analysis on her, but still, why is she acting like a little brat when she wants to be an adult?
She's not well. As for acting like a brat...Mary always was one. Her success as Baby Doll gave her a huge ego. She would throw tantrums on set and I'm fairly sure she quit the show when the "Cousin Oliver" character was introduced, feeling humiliated. Toddler tantrum, prima donna tantrums...are they really that different?

Also whiny toddlers throwing tantrums suck.
