Cat Allingham and James Doyle, investigators of the afterlife, are back on the (very odd) case.

The story begins in a weird place. Doyle and Cat are no longer partners, and they seem to have no memories of ever having met each other, much less worked together.

Doyle's memories are slowly returning to him, though. Meanwhile, Cat's gotten herself a new partner.





Doyle introduces himself to Doyle Mark 2. Trying to explain the situation as best he can, he recounts the last case he remembers him and Cat working on.
