As a youngster who was avidly following both books at the time, this crossover was a pretty big deal. Hero vs. Hero stories were already a Marvel cliché, but a full-blown Team vs. Team battle was somewhat rarer. Of course, the vagaries of the pre-Direct Market distribution system meant that I would inevitably miss a couple chapters along the way...
