But AoA...that was actually a very creepy relationship. Magneto raised her from a teen (like 13/14), then seduced her in her late teens out from under the guy closer to her age who loved her by showing her that he (Magnus) and only he could touch her. How much choice did he allow her, really? Then he refused/procrastinated in helping her touch her own kid, let alone anyone else. She was not very happy with that. That's not love, that codependency.
And notice they spent most of the crossover separated. That because once the two consummated the relationship...well, how interesting was it really?
It's not a matter of Magneto being powerful or older, it's the two of them having next to nothing common. There really isn't any interesting hook there for two minds to meet and make for an interesting partnership that would be fun to read about.
