Alice has unfortunatly taken Zatanna (I think), and could probably take Scott.

I want Phantom Stranger to finally put her in her place.

If you consider her power set, and then consider Mightygodking's rules of magic he put forth in his "why I should write Dr. Strange" series, Alice's powers are particularly DISTURBING because she doesn't borrow power from gods or supernatural entities like any other magic user, she takes them. This means she completly disrupts the natural order, and can steal infinite power. She's held back by her 4th dimensional mortal perceptions however, so she probably can't use PS's powers to their full effect.

she tried to absorb some demon lord's power and just ended up with some knowledge that's not meant for human minds.

I didn't read the series, but that does seem to be a logical and reasonable limitation for someone who we know takes the powers, but not the experience, from other people. Like the Parasite absorbing Superman's vulnerabilities as well as his powers.
