Greetings True Believers! Necrosha continues and I'm so happy about this return! Spoilers and enjoy!

Blindfold has a vision and tells Scott he has to check out Muir Island. He sends an away-team composed of Mags, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Trance, Husk, Blindfold, Psylocke and Colossus. Blindfold got this info from a dream sent to her by the resurrected Destiny who escapes from Genosha and also travels to Muir Island. But they are both being manipulated.....By who????

The team arrives to an "empty" island and Blindfold runs into Destiny in a old holding room.

Yes! Proteus Lives!!! My favorite x-villain.

I thought Proteus was trapped in the body of Morph? o_o

Is this another case of epic fail for Marvel continuity?

No, it's a case of alternate universes. Proteus-Morph is from another reality altogether.

Nooo... the Proteus trapped in Morph was the 616 version resurrected by Scarlet Witch just like Hawkeye.

No, I'm pretty sure that the Exiles Proteus is an alternate dimension one.

No he is.

The one who possessed Morph in Exiles was the House of M Proteus who escaped just before HoM vanished back into the normal 616.

This Proteus is the regular Marvel Universe's.

The one from Exiles was 616 Proteus as House of M WAS 616 but altered slightly.

What we have here is massive case of a writer not checlking his source material.

Exiles Proteus is technically 616 Proteus but the HoM version. I suppose this means there's sort of two of him around now.

House of M seemed to have pretty random rules. But Hawkeye for example, he was freed by Layla and got the 616-non House of M memories and then specifically revived by Wanda at the end. If were he alive in 616 at the time, I have a sneaking suspicion there would be two Hawkeyes around.

Proteus was dead in 616 when House of M happened, suddenly he's alive and galavting off around the multiverse before he could return to being dead, and so Wanda's magic didn't effect him and there are now, thanks to, assumedly Selene, there are two '616' Proteus'.

I think that kind of makes sense. Sort of. I'm not beign overly clear.

It's simple to say that for the most part just to treat House of M as a completely separate universe, with only a few exceptions like Hawkeye and such.

Which would be easy to do, if Marvel hadn't made a big deal both in promoting it, and in universe, about how it was actually the 616 universe.

Which is odd considering HoM has a universal numbering that's not 616.

It's Earth-58163.

And apparently it was numbered in 2006. Well. I have nothing to add except now it doesn't matter at all that there are two Proteus' moving around from the 'same' Earth.

On the last panel, I guess the fabric was intentionally altered so we would not get any camel toe.

So this Proteus is not who ran around bonded to Morph of the Exiles.

Why is Blinfold talking normally even before being possessed?
Also why is this title still called X-Men Legacy?

I assumed the "Legacy" bit now refers to Rogue being more or less in charge of the X-Kids.

Rogue has been through a huge amount of changes since Carey got hold of her. Good changes. Like controlling her powers, and always been shown with a bra under her costume, and less hit more strategy and so on.

Yes, but for a title named Legacy, I expected the X-kids to actually do something once a while.

Trance seems to do quite a bit. Bling! had a decent role last arc. Blindfold has this arc.

Carey is focusing on the kids that have never done much And he's doing it one at a time. Which is great and all, but it's not at all satisfying if you read the title for the kids and not Rogue.

It's a shame that Marvel won't let Carey write a team book or put out a new book that actually focuses on X-teens.

By doing somethin, I meant not being passive.
Trance lost control of her powers.
Bling! is kidnapped.
Trance lets Rogue use her powers.
Blindfold is possessed.

And then Trance fought Moonstone until Karla ran away. And now she's with Rogue's team on Muir Island.

And Bling! blasted Emplate in the face, a couple of times.

And Blindfold's story in Necrosha isn't even halfway done yet, have some faith. Proteus will probably jump into someone else soon, it's what he does. Plus do you really want Blindfold in a physical fight?

You sure? Because I'm pretty sure he kills victims the second he takes over. I remember when he took over one victim and Jean Grey, miles away felt the mental death scream the second he took charge.

Blindfold can probably resist him, though. Mental powers would come in handy.

Isn't it only fridging if it's to provide angst for male characters? Seeing as this basically Rogue's solo + guest stars that may be a team everynow and again, unless Rogue has suddenly had an expensive trip to Thailand I can't see it being fridging, really (but then I hate the term and especially hate to see it thrown around every time a minor character is put in danger/killed/maybe killed as part of a cliffhanger or ongoing story).

I didn't read the issue yet, and don't know if it's even addressed...
But the Exiles Proteus who is inside Morph was a creation of the Scarlet Witch, and became free of 616 dimension (altered or not), at least as I understand it. As everything that Wanda didn't specifically said should be different turned back to normal after House of M, couldn't it be that some of the original Proteus' samples still exist? Granted, as he was a pure energy being when he died, he didn't have any bodily remains. But wold the TO virus be able to animate him from some physical samples of his original (birth) body? I'm sure some samples could be found among Moira's things.

Wait, what happened with Emplate? And how can Proteus be HERE if he's in Morph? I was under the distinct impression that House of M WAS 616.

That what everyone's confused by but it's pretty simple.

Wanda altered 616 into House of M.

Proteus of H0M possessed Morph and the Exiles left HoM.

With only a few exceptions at the end of House of M everything went exactly back the way as it was, regardless of what was actually in the HoM. So dead Proteus still existed and House of M Prteus is effectively just from another universe.

Rogue managed to crash Emplate's house into Utopia. The Science Team built a machine that trapped him and the house in our dimension for a short period of time while Bling! blasted him in the face and Rogue kicked him while he was down.

And then the Science team turned off their machine, which flung Emplate back into his home dimension, except he ended up in a forest on an alien planet facing a number of large predators.

Not really related to the scans but, does anyone else think embracing Magneto into the team is an epically stupid move? Regardless of whether or not he's willing to play nicely they're showing the etire world they're willing to let a global terrorist hang out with them and be one of them. Never mind the fact that they've all exposed themselves and are living on a rock hat needs to be maintained becaus eit's not a natural landmass. It's just the biggets, stupidest set up for failure they've managed.
