So while scanning down the list of Marvel's April solicits, this cover for one of the "Fall of the Hulks" tie-ins caught my eye. And not in a good way.

In other news, the solicit for the revamped Marvel Adventures Super-Heroes is out, and I am not amused. Why?

It turns out that they are just reusing the team from the aborted reboot, and there's not a new story start. So this isn't actually a "revamp" so much as just a re-numbering, which never fails to annoy me.

The fact that I'm not exactly crazy about the reboot team in the first place doesn't help.

I've seen worse She-Hulks. Of course, her waist is WAY wrong, but....

It doesn't help that her arms look like they're way too short (her upper arm is roughly the size of her breast) and her forearm is not muscular enough when compared to her upper arms.

Alternatively, She-Hulk looks like she hits like a girl. Or like she accidentally had some T-Rex DNA spliced into her arms.

SHE HAS TINY T-REX ARMS OH SWEET JESUS

Her lower body/ass is enormous, her boobs look extruded... Her waist looks tiny PLUS sucked in, her ribcage is on a severely weird angle inside her body...

Also, Rulk's hand in the background has no wrist. Either that or he was stung by many gamma bees, causing an allergic reaction that makes it swell up almost larger than his hand.

(Gamma Bees. My god. NOT THE GAMMA BEEEEES)

Re: Avengers. Oh look, more of the same. (Why is Spider-man on the cover but not in the listed line-up?)

Jen looks like one of those "pretty girl" statues.

The term "pencil neck" comes to mind.

.... Michelle Trachtenberg. That's who she reminds me of, in the face. Not that I think they pulled a LAAAAANNND here, just she has that overthin, pixyish quality.

I know, but it could be worse: on the quick image search I did for a comparison shot, the only other thing I could find with her face at a side-and-up angle like that was a collage of caps of her doing the "pull the sweatshirt off to reveal a bikini and toss the hair" move from Eurotrip, and those images were - gaaah. Supposed to be sexy, but just a pasty bony emaciated world of no.

Why is 21st century Alfred E. Newman leading the Avengers... oh wait, just answered my own question.

After the zombie/ape/hulk gimmicks, why not?

Why is Spider-Man wearing a webbing tutu?

That's his underarm webbing that runs from his forearm to hips that constantly disappears and reappears. It's actually part of his costume when he first appeared in the 60's.

That Superheroes #1 cover looks pretty descent at first until you notice that Spidey's left his unusually long, Iron Man's hips and Steve's odd running pose (it looks like he is about to fall over).

He USED to be closer to reality...his appeal for me dropped halfway though Danger Girl #7, literly half way though the book you could SEE the style change to this more extreme deformed toony style that dominates his work today.

You can look at DG #1 and DG#7 and SEE the huge style differences

She-Hulk's got the lower body of a Crumb woman, and the upper body of a 12 year old girl...except for the boobs...which could very well be curled up 12 year old girls.
