Everybody loves Snake Eyes and it's pretty easy to see why just from the early days of the comic, when I think he just wears sunglasses and a ski mask. While it's hard to tell Breaker from Stalker, Snake Eyes sets himself apart with horrific scars, no dialogue, and a certain mystique that comes from never saying how badass you are when other people can do it for you.

If that were the case I'd expect him to have it as one of his regular assigned duties, not something he has to volunteer for.
