Please, please, please, when you're composing your posts, remember to include at the very minimum, the title and issue number of the comic you're posting.
Ideally, include a full list of selected tags - as noted by
schmevil, until we've worked out a way round the tag trolling, a C&Ped list of suggested tags is extremely helpful.
However, the absolute minimum that should be included in the post is the title and issue number. Without that basic information it's impossible for us to even think about tagging and we're having numerous instances where we're having to ask.
So, please, remember to include the title and issue number within the body of your post.
Many thanks.

Date: 2010-02-09 09:09 pm (UTC)The second reason is that the webcomic you posted was ableist and offensive to a number of members. While discriminatory material is often posted for the purposes of calling out, as our community ethos supports, in these cases members provide commentary. You did not, but simply posted ableist material without commentary or any other comment linked to calling out the creator and therefore the post was removed.

Date: 2010-02-09 08:16 pm (UTC)On the other hand, when we're posting graphic novels and webcomics and newspaper strips and manga, there's usually no issue # to give.
And when I posted excerpts from Adèle just the other day, I decided that there was little point tagging the title of the book/album (Adèle & the Beast), since there are never going to be enough Adèle posts that we'll need to categorize them further, and it would never be used again anyway since I already posted almost 1/3 of the story. I also decided not to tag the series name, since the character and the series are pretty much synonymous, and the "creator: tardi" tag will probably be more useful.
Given that SD is running out of tags, creating three or four redundant new tags that are likely to be one-offs seems like a waste.
So I guess what I'm saying: we're still encouraged to use common sense, yes?
