The Flash #1 A Look into the future and Barry's "Brightest" Day...

Not sure what to make of this. 

Seems well be seeing Barry stopping some dangerous future from coming to pass (poor Booster already out of a job).

As for Barry and the reverse Flash costume it definitely is a mysterious thing. What could make Barry dress as his arch-nemesis?

So what does everyone think? It'll be some kind of a mini? An arc in Flash? A Flash event book?

Huh... reverse Barry reminds me of that one Crisis of Infinite Earths special, where before dying, Flash went to a world that like his, but different. He enocunter a black version of himself and... that all I can remember.

The Flash was Asian, Superman was black, and Green Arrow was Native American

Yeah, it was the "side" book ala "Legends of the DCU Universe: Crisis on Infinite Earths Special". Where they show us this racially diverse version of the DC universe where the heroes are all happy and mentally stable and the bad guys are just slightly bad. And ofcourse you can only guess what happens.

Shouldn't stuff like this either be woven into the story as foreshadowing or relegated to ad pages? This is essentially wasting two story pages and turning them into an advertisement.

I'm all for Biblical names, as I find the culture rather interesting (if disconcerting, since I'm an atheist-or-maybe-apatheist), but in my mind, the name "Mara" is irrevocably linked with "Mara Jade" (she's not coming back ;_;)
