stolisomancerRevival is a new horror comic from Tim Seeley (Hack-Slash, Witchblade) and Mike Norton (Battlepug, Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt, Gravity). It's about a small town in Wisconsin where when people die, they're coming right back to life.

Ame-Comi Power Girl #1
Jul. 30th, 2012 01:12 pmaeka-Sigh- This actually has me wishing they had gotten Jimmy Palmiotti (and Amanda Conner for that matter) on Worlds' Finest.
Especially since I LOVE the way Jimmy writes Power Girl as an intelligent, competent, and badass heroine. The only thing that would make this story commplete is Amanda Conner's art. :(
On the subject of the costume....while I can't say I'm really digging the costume design, even I'll take this over the travesty she's wearing in the New 52 right now....

leoboikoA pet peeve of mine is the depiction of magic in popular media. Too often magic isn’t portrayed as, well, magical. Magic is a thing of shadows and dreams, of mystery and awe and drunken midnight dances; it’s not simply there, in an obvious and mechanistic way like X-men superpowers; simply throwing fireballs around isn’t very magical. (Compare e.g. the Lord of the Rings books to the movies.)
CLAMP is a creator-team who definitely Gets It. XxxHolic would be the obvious choice to show you guys, but for the One Perfect Moment week I'd like to draw one early example that stayed with me all these years (I hope it counts for the theme!). It’s from 1992’s Tokyo Babylon.
