Sports all over the place as records keep being broken in Rio.
The trailer for "Hidden Figures" is out, a forthcoming film about three women of colour whose work as mathematicians were pivotal to NASA getting John Glenn into orbit in 1962.
A lovely moment at last weekends Power Morphicon where the departing cast of Power Rangers Dino Charge made the first public announcement of the new cast for the next season (Ninja Steel), as current Blue Ranger, Yoshi Sudarso discovered that the next Blue Ranger will in fact be played by his little brother Peter Sudarso (Who is very close to). His surprise and happiness is genuine (They'd set it all up so he'd have no idea. As a stuntman and actor himself Yoshi was part of the casting process and Peter had tried out for a role, but they'd all told Yoshi Peter hadn't got in) and as for that hug! It's really adorable.
Olympic swimmer Fu Yuanhui of China breaks a number of taboos by discussing her period publicly
Jasmes Cameron's Avatar movie has first proper spinoff announced (okay a while back but I hadn't heard about it) and it's... umm... really? THAT'S where they're going with this? Well okay, it's a Cirque De Soleil show
