I have two notebooks where I've outlined the Hero's Journey of the Fantastic Four and that's kind of the spine of what I'm doing, like some of the stuff I've changed or messed around with. Especially once I decided to make it more faithful, because I had some versions of the story where I was just totally changing the Fantastic Four. Where, you know, Sue Storm is a musician and Sub-Mariner is her manager/boyfriend. -- Tom Scioli

I saw Dan DiDio by the elevators, and Dan's like, "Tom! Tom! Come here, come here, come here!" I was like, "Oh shit, I'm going to get fired. This is it." I don't know what I did wrong, but he puts his arm around me. I won't say whether he was sober or drunk but he was drunk, and he goes, "Tom, I know how you like those dark stories!" I was like, "Yeah, I do the dark story occasionally." And he's like, "If you want, 'cause you're my friend, you can kill that little girl at the end." -- Tom King
