It's like the black mirror to the Green Lantern series. It's the opposite -- it's this dark, this Blackstar version of the thing that was kind of bright, and hopeful, and positive. It's mean spirited and nasty and sneering, you know, and it kind of reflects the main character who's Belzebeth the Vampire Princess. So Hal Jordan in this, he's almost like the ... he's the Mister Spock to her Captain Kirk in this series. -- Grant Morrison

In the comments to these weekly posts (and only these posts), it's your chance to go as off topic as you like. Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.

After being hit with hurricane level winds last weekend thanks to Storm Ciara,. this week the UK got hit with floods thanks to it's successor, Storm Dennis.

Jeff Bezos has promised $10 billion to combat climate change, which is about 8% of his fortune, presumably because he's realised there's no point owning a world that can't sustain Amazon Prime subscriptions.

Build-a-Bear have started their Doctor Who campaign. A bit pricey, but cute (though I'm a little surprised they didn't go for 4 rather than 10, but maybe if these two are successful...) and I WANT a 13!

Started watching Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 for the first time and I'd forgotten just how much I'd missed this ridiculous, absurd series! Carnivorous unicorns, Ray and Nate being Brony's, Mick being... Mick, and a fairy godmother who still maanages to sass John Constantine as she's being dragged to hell.

Billie Eilish's song for the next Bond movie "No Time To Die" has bee released. I have to say I like it.

Tom King: "I got the opposite of push back. I got push forward. I sort of had this cliffhanger where Alfred, at the end, was gonna, could perish. And I put it in the script, like, of course, we'll figure this out later and he's not dead. And DC's like, 'No, why isn't he? Why's he not dead?' And I'm like, 'Well, because he's Alfred and he has to live forever because he's a fantastic character.' And they're like, 'No no no no, he's dead'."

(#26'd pulled him into the orbit of the vigilante Deathwish.)

He lay at the mercy of the Club-Haus Kidz, the cybernetic thralls of someone called Haus.

He slipped his bonds and fought his way free of their desire to make him like them, taking off on a stolen hover-platform.

He was followed by Haus' gleaming servant Cyber-Bwana, who confronted him on another platform.

' At the time, I was still far away. ' narrated Marisa Rahm.

She, who'd been a major part of the Deathwish miniseries preceding this Hardware storyline, sat remembering ' across the First Avenue bridge.

' Drinking myself into oblivion. Trying to throw off the nightmare.

' Dini.

' Her name struck a deep mournful note in the back of what was left of my mind.

She swigged some beer. )
